Anders Nilsson is our last ancestor buried in Slätthög Parish, Kronoberg County, Sweden. He and Ingrid were both born in this parish. Their son Johannes was born on Grunnahemmet Farm, which I have not been able to identify on modern maps. Anders was still in Grunnahemmet when he died. The church presently standing on Slätthög came after this family.
4GGM Ingrid Nilsdotter moved at least twice after 4GGF died. I have traced her forward to 1835.
First, she and her youngest child went to Gälleryd Parish in Jönköping County in 1823. She lived with a retired soldier (“dragoon” or cavalry soldier). Soldier housing was very small, really meant as temporary barracks; there were probably a few shacks on the property. She married that soldier in about 1825. In household rolls, she is listed as “sickly”, but she outlived her 2nd husband, who died in 1834. In the household record from that time period, she is described as still “feeble”. That record also says she moved once again in 1835, to a location that appears to be written as “Fryeled”. This suggests Fryele Parish, sometimes spelled as Fryeled (Jönköping County). However, I have not been able to locate her in any Fryeled records. For now, she is vanished without a trace!
