Theodor and Apoloniae raised their children in Bassenheim, Germany: Johann (1808), Maria Magdalena, and Elisabeth (1817).
The Miesen family came to the US in the mid-1850’s, when Theodore was about 80. I do not know if Apoloniae was still alive at that time. Theodor is buried in St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Johnsburg, Fond du Lac County, WI. His headstone has been displaced; his FindAGrave profile indicates, “This stone is laying behind the church. It should be in Row 1.”
